Ardcraig

A warm welcome in the heart of Craighouse

house

Welcome to to the Isle of Jura! We are a small, family-run glamping site with one caravan up and running and two pods available later in 2020.

Ardcraig is perched above Small Isles Bay in the heart of Jura's main village of Craighouse, offering you the perfect base to explore the island.

We're just 8 minutes walk from the bar, shop, cafe and hall, with deer grazing on the hillside behind the house and fantastic views out over Goat Island to Gigha, the Mull of Kintyre, and the mountains of Arran (weather permitting!).

Whether you are here to visit our world famous whisky distillery (or the award winning Lussa Gin distillery), delight in our wildlife, explore our beautiful landscape, or follow in George Orwell's footsteps, we can promise you a warm welcome and a comfortable bed.

We are happy to welcome well behaved dogs (who do not jump on furniture or chase chickens) with responsible owners (who pick up dog poo) - you must let us know when requesting to book if you are intending to bring your pet.

Please note:

There is a steep driveway leading to the house and the guest bedrooms and bathroom are all on the first floor. Unfortunately this means Ardcraig is not suitable for those with mobility issues, however we are more than happy to recommend Corran House which provides single-level accomodation at the north end of Small Isles Bay.

Wifi is not available on site but we have reasonable 4G and the internet can be accessed at the Service Point in the village.

Our resident cockerel is very much a morning bird.  If you are sensitive to noise, you may want to bring ear plugs.
